What is interval training and how do I incorporate it?

Interval training by definition is a way of exercising that involves going slow for a while, then faster for a while.
It is used by different types of athletes and recreational exerciser to increase physical fitness levels.
Most notably, high intensity interval training (HIIT) has seen a huge increase in popularity due to it's positive effects on metabolism.
Incorporating interval training into your workouts can be as simple as altering the speed at which you do your cardio or can be as tough as blasting all out sprints and walking back to the starting line.
If you are looking for a different way to exercise, look into interval training farther.
