How Does the Law of Diminishing Returns Pertain To Diet and Fitness?
|

|
The Law of Diminishing Returns simply states that there is a certain point that results wain no matter the input. So, if you try harder, you'll still get results; however, they won't be on the same level as previous results.
For most people, we use this in the such for the correct information. In the diet and fitness realm, many try to gather all of the information they can before they make a move... leading to analysis paralysis.
In fact, once a person has around 80% of the info, the last 20% will take just as long (if not longer) to figure out. Therefore, people are always better off acting once they have a majority of the info.
Unfortunately, people that can't seem to get it together when it comes to changing their bodies typically are in information gathering mode... not action mode.
It's a proven fact that you're not going to find a "tidbit" that will help you if you don't have the basics down, no matter what the overpriced "gurus" say.
The Law of Diminishing Returns also applies to the person that gets into "overkill" when they work out. You may have heard how people "plateau" or just can't seem to get over a hump... well, many times, the person is trying to do too much.
Just focus on the basics... in diet and fitness.
