I’ve got a few secrets to tell you. (whispering) I know you’re not getting where you want to be. I know you aren’t in the shape you want to be in. I know your body isn’t anywhere near perfect.
Let me cut to the chase.
What are you doing to sabatoge yourself? How is your mind preventing you from being the person you want to become? Worse, what is your health club doing to hinder you?
But you thought health clubs were supposed to help?
Imagine for a moment.
You’ve just walked into your new club after spending 20 minutes trying to find parking. You try to check in but it’s chaotic and the person at the desk acts like you are interfering with their time. On top of that, you don’t know where to go to meet the “trainer” that is supposed to show you around. You finally meet “Chuck” and “Chuck” looks like he just got finished eating a donut before he walked up. You wonder it he actually knows what he is talking about.
During your workout, you have to wait at least 5 minutes for every piece of equipment and many of the members are pretty rude when you try to work in. It’s been an hour and you haven’t even got half way through yet. You walk to the water fountain and notice that the place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in 3 days. You thought the same thing when you joined but the membership guy said that they were switching cleaning crews. If you hadn’t got such a “good deal,” you ponder if you’d even be there. Where is that membership guy anyway?
You finally just get tired of trying to work out today due to the wait time and you just don’t have the motivation any more. Plus, “Chuck” didn’t give you any advice that you didn’t already know and pretty much left you hanging when he found out you couldn’t afford personal training. So much for “good deal”.
